LETTER: Why I Am Voting for Karen Attia
To the Editor:
As a local resident, I am proud to support Karen Attia for State Senate in District 34. Raised on a multigenerational dairy farm, Karen later, raised four sons as a single mother-including a Marine veteran–and she has built successful local small businesses. For over 30 years, she has lived, worked, and volunteered across Champlin, Brooklyn Park, Coon Rapids, Dayton and Rogers.
Karen will bring much-needed fiscal transparency to the State Capitol in St. Paul by working to investigate fraud, eliminate government waste, and hold spending accountable.
As a new grandmother, Karen deeply values educational excellence. She advocates returning to core academic fundamentals-reading, writing, math, and critical thinking-free from political agendas and moral relativism.
Public safety is another top priority. Karen supports a well-trained police force and strong law and order so our neighborhoods remain safe, tranquil places for our children and grandchildren to grow and thrive.
Drawing on her experience as a small business owner, Karen will champion sensible regulatory policies that keep jobs in Minnesota while fighting to ease tax burdens on seniors and working families struggling with inflation. Trained as a critical care nurse to operate under pressure, she focuses on real outcomes over political rhetoric.
Karen’s heart is in the right place, her mind is determined, and her experience will serve as her compass. She will be a true Minnesota Senator for the people. Please join me in voting for Karen Attia this Fall. Early voting starts in mid-September.
